A Passion Fruit Refreshing Drinks Recipe

‘A Passion for Fruit’

This juice drink not only tastes wonderful, it’s a real morning eye-opener. It contains enough nutrients to fuel your body’s boiler and provide nutritional protection for hours.

Vitamins, minerals, and a vast array of plant chemical protectors are things you won’t even think about as you enjoy this drink, but they’re all there, beavering away to build your defences, nourish your tissues, and protect every cell from potential damage. This should be a regular passion for anyone with arthritis, high blood pressure, poor immunity, skin problems, lethargy or chronic fatigue.

Serves 1-2

6 medium strawberries

2 kiwi fruits

2 passion fruits

2 peaches

1 pomegranate

175g or 6oz seedless grapes

3. Scoop the flesh from the passion fruits.

4. Wash and stone the peaches – again, they don’t need to be peeled.

Vital statistics

A glass of this juice will give you four times your daily requirement of vitamin C, as all the fruits are good providers of this nutrient.

Betacarotene and many other carotenoids are here as well to protect your skin, vision and overall immune system. Strawberries, in particular, contain anti-arthritic substances, and the kiwi fruits are rich providers of potassium and bioflavonoids, which protect the heart and blood vessels. The grapes not only provide antioxidants, but are also a great source of natural fruit sugars for instant energy.
