I have put together this selection of what I see as everyday but still full of flavour, apple juicing recipes for your use, having found some of them in recipe books and created others over the years, but I have always had fun experimenting and drinking them.

I especially enjoy introducing and discovering the different flavours, that can be offered by different varieties of apple, into an apple recipe, so please do the same – I would recommend that you choose your favourite type of apple first and then move on to other varieties.

‘Apple C Boost’ Juice

  • 3 apples – sweeter variety
  • 2 guavas

Fabulous taste if you use a tangy variety of apple to offset the sweetness of the ripe nectarine and strawberries. Guava is an extremely high source of Vitamin C – an exceedingly good juice for an immunity boost.

‘Apple Crumble’ Juice

Shake the cinnamon with a little of the apple juice in a sealed container before adding it to the rest of the juice.

‘Apple Rootzinger’ Juice

  • 3 apples
  • 2 carrots
  • 1cm piece of root ginger (for that extra zing)
  • 1 teaspoon spirulina

The nutritious value of this juice is massively increased by the addition of the spirulina.  Shake or stir in the powder immediately after making the juice.

  • 2 apples
  • 2 sticks of celery
  • 1 dessertspoon (5ml) cold-pressed hempseed oil

The oil is added for the benefit of omega 3 fatty acids – almost represents a salad dressing.  It is best shaken with the juice in a sealed container to ensure fully blended.

‘Deep Sea Apple’ Juice

  • 4 apples
  • 1 teaspoon spirulina

Shake the spirulina with a little of the juice in a sealed container before adding it to the rest of the juice – the result – deep green coloured juice.

‘Quick Apple Refresher’ Juice

  • 3 apples
  • 2 carrots

The addition of carrots to this juice gives it a delightful ruddy orange complexion and the simple combination is a delicious way to introduce carrots into your juicing repertoire if you’ve not experienced vegetable juices.

‘Apple Duo’ Juice

  • 2 apples – sweeter variety
  • 1/3 pineapple
  • handful of fresh mint

Pineapple is very helpful for digestion.

‘Tangy Apple Zing’ Juice

  • 3 apples
  • 2 tangerines or clementines
  • ½ lime

The lime adds a real kick to the delicate flavours of the apples and orange family fruits.

‘Blackberry and Apple Pie’ Juice

  • 2 apples
  • 2 handfuls of blackberries

‘Blue Appleberry’ Juice add a few antioxidant rich blueberries to your apple recipes

  • 3 apples
  • 2 handfuls of blueberries

Choose a crisp tangy apple if blueberries are exceptionally sweet, otherwise, use a sweeter apple.
