Juicing Brocolli, Apple and Pear Recipe

Brocolli Juicing

Everyone knows how healthy broccoli is, but mixed here with the natural sugars supplied by the apple and pear, and the hot, peppery flavours of watercress, you have a pretty good substitute for lunch and a healthy boost to your weight-loss regime.

You’ll feel better just looking at the wonderful green colour of this surprisingly enjoyable drink, and I’m sure you’ll want to add it to your repertoire of juices – even when you’re not trying to lose weight.

Vital statistics

Broccoli is one of the richest sources of cancer-fighting phytochemicals. It’s also rich in folic acid, iron, potassium, riboflavin, and vitamins A and C. Watercress is a powerful antibacterial food, as it contains mustard oils as well as betacarotene. It’s an absolute must for smokers, as it contains a specific chemical, phenethyl isothiocyanate, which protects against lung cancer.
