Vitality Drinks Recipe – ‘Spiced Smoothie’
One of the most common causes of chronic fatigue is a deficiency of zinc, and since this is a mineral often in short supply in the convenience-food diet so many of us live on today, the extra zinc supplied by pumpkinis often the first step on the road to feeling more vital and healthy. Often lack of vitality is caused by poor resistance and repeated infections such as flu, sore throats, coughs, and colds. Regular consumption of live yoghurt is a tremendous boost to the immune system, thanks to the beneficial bacteria it contains.
300ml or 10fl oz plain live yoghurt
1 tbsp tahini
Half a tsp allspice
A little milk (optional), for thinning
1 tsp pumpkin seeds
1. Put the yoghurt, tahini, and allspice in aor food processor and whizz until combined.
2. Thin with the milk until you achieve the consistency you require.
3. Serve over ice-cubes with the pumpkin seeds scattered on top.
Live yoghurt is not only an excellent source of calcium for strong and healthy bones, but it is the best source of the probiotic bacteria responsible for producing essential B vitamins that nourish the nervous system and help banish anxiety, stress, and fatigue.
