Sweet Potato, Kiwi and Orange Smoothie

Serves 2

1 large sweet potato

3 kiwi fruit

300ml or 10fl oz freshly squeezed orange juice

1. Wash the sweet potato and peel the kiwi fruits.

2. Put the potato and kiwi fruit through a juicer.

3. Add the orange juice and mix well.

Vital statistics

Huge amounts of vitamin C from the kiwi fruits and orange juice are coupled with betacarotene and a range of other essential carotenoids, as well as the cancer-fighting phytochemicals in the sweet potato. The orange juice also provides another group of chemicals called bioflavonoids, which play an important role in the protection of your blood vessels. This mixture is an all-round protector that increases your natural resistance to bugs and degenerative diseases.
