Vitality Juice Drinks – ‘Wake-up Call’

Wake-up Call

Here’s a combination of quick- and slow-release energy, essential nutrients, protein, and fibre that is a great early-morning starter or a before-sport booster for your vitality.

Most women I know think peanut butter is one of the greatest sins, as it must be fattening. This is far from the truth. Peanut butter helps in any weight-loss plan as it provides slow-release energies which prevent a fall in blood sugar and a craving for sweet things. Furthermore, because peanuts are broken down very slowly into energy-giving sugars, the nuts and peanut butter help protect against adult-onset diabetes.

Vital statistics

It’s the protein and plant lignins in the peanuts that provide slow-release energy and help reduce cholesterol and insulin levels. Add the banana for more slow-release energy and lots of potassium to prevent cramp during exercise, and you’ve got the basis of this great vitality drink.

The rest of the fruit provides vitamin C and soluble fibre, while the crème fraiche gives you even more calcium and B vitamins. A delicious feast of nutrients.
